Q: Where are you from? (city, state)
A: I am from Guttenberg, Iowa. I have lived there since I was 3 years old.
Q: Why did you choose Kirkwood?
A: I chose Kirkwood because I knew they had a good business program. It is also a very affordable school.
Q: What is your major and how did you choose it?
A: My major is Marketing Management and I am also getting a Social Media Certificate. I chose this major because I have a passion for both Marketing and Management.
Q: What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?
A: Making the Dean’s List every semester thus far.
Q: What are your plans after Kirkwood?
A: I plan to find a Marketing job when I graduate in May.
Q: What inspires or motivates you?
A: My family inspires me and pushes me to be the best I can be.
Q: Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc.
A: Outside of Kirkwood I enjoy many outdoor activities. I enjoy boating in the summer and deer hunting in the winter.
Q: What does be named an Outstanding Student mean to you?
A: Being named an Outstanding Student is an honor for me. I feel as if it will be a great accomplishment to add to my resume as well.

Congrats, happy to have had you for so many classes, and never meeting you in person for an entire year. Lucky we had in person classes prior to COVID 19. So happy you picked Marketing/Management, it is a great field and many opportunities. You have been a great student.

Its a great accomplishment to continue being successful in your courses during this pandemic. You transitioned well as we had to pull our Human Resources class online last spring. Best of luck as you get going on your Marketing career. You’ll do great!
