Q: Where are you from? 

A: Hico, Texas
 
Q: Why did you choose Kirkwood? 

A: I chose Kirkwood because of the hands-on agriculture and animal health programs. 

Q: What is your major and how did you choose it? 

A: My major is Vet Assisting I chose it because I love animals and wanted to learn more about proper handling and care.  

Q: What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?  

A: My proudest moment at Kirkwood is when I understand the learning material well enough to teach my classmates and they understand my teachings as well making us all successful together.  

Q: What are your plans after Kirkwood? 

A: My plans after Kirkwood are to work with animals whether it is a hog farm or a veterinarian clinic.  
Q: What inspires or motivates you? 

A: My urge for more knowledge and helping my classmates is my motivation. I love being able to walk into class and my classmates ask me for help and we can solve the problem together. I’m always motivated to learn something new each day.   
Q: Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc. 

A: My main hobby outside of Kirkwood is roller skating, I’ve been skating for 7 years now. 

Q: What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you? 

A: Being named outstanding student shows that people are proud of my work, appreciate what I do, and that I am actively teaching my classmates and motivating them. I appreciate this wonderful opportunity and will continue to work hard for myself and the people around me.
