It’s that time of the year again when the day of love is almost upon us. Every Feb. 14 since the 8th Century has been deemed Valentine’s Day. It originated as a Christian feast day honoring a martyr named Valentine and became a significant celebration of love and romance in the 14th and 15th Centuries.
These celebrations have held strong since then and this year is no different. It can be a struggle to show love and celebrate with those closest to you. There are lots of activities around and outside of Kirkwood’s campus that are great for Valentines Day.
Downtown Cedar Rapids is filled with tons of restaurant options for a Valentine’s dinner. Some of these restaurants are even offering special food options for the holiday.
