Where are you from? I am from Ivory Coast, also known as Côte d’Ivoire. It is a country on the southern coast of West Africa.
Why did you choose Kirkwood? I came to Kirkwood thanks to a one-year scholarship program. So, I was admitted here. Then I decided to keep studying at Kirkwood for an Associate degree because of all the resources available to help students succeed.
What is your major and how did you choose it? I major in Marketing Management. I chose it because I am really interested in it and Marketing skills are highly transferable across industries. Whether it’s healthcare, technology, fashion, or any other sector, every business requires marketing expertise.
What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood? My proudest and most recent moment was when I received the mail from Kirkwood telling me that I was selected as an Outstanding student.
What are your plans after Kirkwood? Enter the professional world.
What inspires or motivates you? My goals and vision. Wanting to reach them gives me the necessary motivation to take the right actions.
Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood. I like cooking and hanging out with friends. I also like technology, taking photos with my camera or drone; a passion that started when I came at Kirkwood.
What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you? To me, that means that I am on the right track on achieving my goals that led me here. And I should keep up the good work.
