Where are you from? Luzerne, Iowa
Why did you choose Kirkwood? I wanted to get ahead for college and Kirkwood was my best route. My high school counselor and Kirkwood advisor recommended Kirkwood courses to me right away, and I haven’t looked back since!
What is your major and how did you choose it? Liberal Arts, AA. I talked with my advisors and they recommended it to me. Best advice I’ve ever received.
What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood? Definitely getting my 2-year degree. Lots of time and hard work has gone into it.
What are your plans after Kirkwood? Attend the University of Iowa to get my Bachelors in Actuarial Science.
What inspires or motivates you? I am motivated to be the best I can be and am inspired by all the opportunities that have come my way.
Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood. I am a lover of the outdoors, an ice cream connoisseur, and a twin! I love fishing, golfing, and any sport related activity.
What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you? I have worked hard to get my AA while still being in high school. This makes me feel accomplished of everything I have done so far, and it shows others that it is possible!
Is there anything else you’d like to add? If you have the chance to do something outside of your comfort zone, DO IT! It could lead to many amazing opportunities!
