Eagles of the Week
Carly Wazac: 12 sets, 40 kills, 3.33 kills per set, 0.83 block per set
In her second consecutive Eagles of the Week appearance, Carly Wazac is proving to be a reliable anchor for the best NJCAA DII team in the nation. Her 40 kills alongside her 10 blocks in just 12 sets prove how much impact she is making during every single match. The Eagles continue their 26 game winning streak, and their 13th consecutive week. With a large amount of credit going to Wazac and her efforts. This is Wazac’s fourth Eagles of the Week honor.
Gabbi Smith: 12 sets, 1.67 digs per set, 14 service aces
Volleyball head coach Dave Brown attributes a lot of the team’s success this season to how good the serving has been. This week, Gabbi Smith shined especially on the serving side of things. In just four matches, she amassed 14 total serves, helping Kirkwood immensely this week. The defensive specialists’ contributions on defense were also notable, compiling 20 total digs. This is Smith’s first Eagle of the Week honor.
