Donate gently used winter clothing 

Global Learning is accepting gently used winter clothes for the upcoming winter season. They are looking for winter coats, gloves, hats, boots and sweatshirts. If students have items to donate, email Elizabeth O’Brien in Global Learning at elizabeth.obrien@kirkwood.edu.  

Italy, Layers of Rome: Summer 2022 

Explore the Eternal City, guided by literature, philosophy, history and art faculty with 15 years of experience leading students abroad to Rome. Students can enrich their understanding of literature and cultural sites, while visiting the Forum, the Colosseum, the Vatican, Florence, Pompeii and much more in 2 weeks. Program Dates: June 5 to June 20.  $1,000 Global Advantage Scholarship available for most students. To learn more, email: rschlue@kirkwood.edu.

Personal care product drive 

The Iowa City Student Leadership Council is hosting a Personal Care Product Drive benefiting the IC Food Pantry. Donations can be dropped off at the Welcome Desk in Iowa City. For questions email food.pantry.ic@kirkwood.edu. 

Kirkwood Iowa City winter coat drive 

Students, faculty and staff can gather extra or unused winter jackets or coats and bring them to the Iowa City One Stop (office 112A). Children’s and adult coats are accepted. Coats should be free of stains or tears. All donated coats will be given to Kirkwood students.

assistance

Students can get free writing assistance through the Writing Center. A variety of scheduled and online formats are available. 

Students can make an appointment or walk in for service. The Writing Center is located in 2080 Cedar Hall on the main campus and Room 134 in Iowa City.
