It is a great option for those looking for an affordable quality education before pursuing a four-year degree.
What is your major and how did you choose it?
My major was in Liberal Arts and I chose this because I was not completely set on an education path but Kirkwood was able to point me in the right direction of Elementary Education.
What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?
My proudest moment while at Kirkwood was when I completed my degree.
What are your plans after Kirkwood?
I am currently a student at the University of Iowa earning a degree in Elementary Education.
What inspires or motivates you?
My family is the main inspiration in my life. They motivate me to set a high level of academic, social and professional standards in my education and future career.
Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc.
Outside of Kirkwood, I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, watching The Office, going on walks and taking naps.
What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you?
Having the honor of being named an Outstanding Student means a lot to me. It has given me confidence that I am on the correct path and performing above and beyond in my coursework and other areas of my life as well.
