Library help and end of semester events

CONTRIBUTED: Kirkwood Libraries support students every day of the semester. But as finals approach and you need a little extra support, check out our list of research guides, help available and events happening at the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Campus Libraries.

You might find these pages especially useful as your wrap up your semester. All can be found from our homepage, 

MLA & APA Style Citations Guide helps you create your list of works cited and in-text citations for your papers. 

Research Help: Searching Guide helps you find high quality books, eBooks, videos, and news, magazine or journal articles.  

Academic Search Elite article database has a huge collection of magazine and scholarly journal articles on just about any subject you might want to research. It also has a “cite” function that creates a citation for you in APA or MLA format. Log in with your k number and password. 

Help available: 

Librarians are available to help you with your research or citations during most library hours. Stop by the desk or chat with us online through our website to get expert help with your work.  

Study rooms are available for group or individual use! In Iowa City ask at the desk. In Cedar Rapids reserve online or drop in. 

Exam Cram: 

November 30th from 11:15-12:10: Stop by the Cedar Rapids Campus Library to pet therapy dog Dex! 

December 1st and 2nd: Stop by for academic support and stress relief. We will have puzzles, coloring pages, mural painting and snacks!

Final week of classes: 

December 6th – 10th: Pick up a free coffee, tea or hot chocolate at the Cedar Rapids or Iowa City campus libraries. Available each day, while supplies last!
