Students invited to virtual bingo

On Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 8 p.m. join students from participating community colleges across the state as a minimum of $350 of prizes are given out to 20+ students.

World food celebration

Enjoy a potluck style meal with cuisines from around the world on Friday, Nov. 18 from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Kirkwood Rec Center. Bring a dish to share, try new foods, listen to music and make new friends.

Choir and jazz performances

Come out for a night of beautiful music from Kirkwood’s Concert Choir, Jazz Transit and Jazz Express groups on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 7:30 – 9 p.m. in Ballantyne Auditorium. Ballantyne Auditorium is located in Cedar and Iowa Hall on the main campus.

Cedar Rapids Community Orchestra

Enjoy an afternoon performance from Cedar Rapids Community Orchestra in the Ballantyne Auditorium on Sunday, Dec. 4, from 2 – 3:30 p.m.

Free bowling

Head on over to May City Bowl for free bowling from 3 – 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov 29. Scan into the event using the check in QR code located in the MyHub app. May City Bowl is located at 1648 Trent St SW Cedar Rapids.

Art reception in Iowa Hall

There will be an art reception on Thursday Dec. 1, from 11:15 a.m. – 12:10 p.m. in the Iowa Hall Gallery featuring Kirkwood professor of glass and sculpture, Christopher Gray. The gallery is also featuring the architectural design work of Kirkwood Alum, Maggie McDonald.

Deck The Stalls

The Iowa Equestrian Center will be hosting a fun new holiday event this year. “Deck the Stalls” will be held Sunday, Dec. 11, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. There will be a live reindeer display, horse rides, shopping vendors, door prizes and a hot chocolate bar. 

Admission is just $5 per person, cash only at the door, and includes activities. All activities will be held indoors and will be open to the public.
