Where are you from? Ames, Iowa.
Why did you choose Kirkwood? I chose Kirkwood because of the smaller class sizes and outstanding Hospitality Program and real life experience at the Kirkwood Hotel.
What is your major and how did you choose it? My major is Hospitality Management and I chose it because I love to serve others.
What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood? My proudest moments at Kirkwood have been receiving Hospitality scholarships towards my tuition as well as receiving this Outstanding Student Award.
What are your plans after Kirkwood? After Kirkwood, I will be a manager in training at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisc.
What inspires or motivates you? I am motivated by serving others.
Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood. I love to travel, ski, bike, put puzzles together, and spend time with my family and friends.
What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you? I feel honored being named an Outstanding Student. It shows that my professors notice and I am rewarded for my hard work.
Is there anything else you’d like to add? I have been blessed to work at the Kirkwood Hotel and I feel this has benefited me with an internship as well as a future job. I believe the industry tours at other hospitality businesses have expanded my knowledge in the industry.
