Where are you from? I am from the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa continent, and I live in Cedar Rapids, IA in the United States.

Why did you choose Kirkwood? I have chosen it as the credible educational institution for my major in the United States.

What is your major and how did you choose it? I have chosen Industrial Maintenance Technology because I have skills and I am good with my hands.

What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood? My proudest moment at Kirkwood, except the acquisition of science and technologies, is being considered among multiple students for scholarships, grants, and other supports along my passage from ESL through my major.

What are your plans after Kirkwood? After my associate degree graduation, I will be focusing on finding a right job that matches my skills, qualities, competencies, and I plan to move forward into Engineering at the university.

What inspires or motivates you? I am ready-made for the job market as technical maintenance.

Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood. I am interested in nature, documentaries, and married, father of two children where my family comes first everything. I love using my hands as technician, fix things and learn new things.

What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you? It is a logical consequence of the assiduity and consideration of the quality teachers and personnels toward me. Here, receive my satisfaction and humble gratitude to all.
