Q: Where are you from? (city, state) 

A: Cedar Rapids, Iowa 

Q: Why did you choose Kirkwood? 

A: It is the community college that my high school lets me take classes through.  

Q: What is your major and how did you choose it? 

A: I currently do not have a major but I am interested in going into Political Science or English, as I wish to be a lawyer.  

Q: What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?  

A: Doing presentations in ASL. 

Q: What are your plans after Kirkwood? 

A: I plan to attend a four-year university for my undergraduate degree then go on to law school.  

Q: What inspires or motivates you? 

A: My passion to be a lawyer in the future motivates me.  

 
Q: Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc. 

A: I do triathlons, competitive swimming, policy debate, along with playing five instruments. 

 
Q: What does be named an Outstanding Student mean to you? 

A: It means that I have put in a lot of work and it has paid off. It also means that there are people at Kirkwood who are looking out and care for me.  

Q: Is there anything else you’d like to add? 

A: I am currently still in high school and I plan to graduate from Kirkwood at the same time I graduate from high school.
