Q: Where are you from?
A: Monticello, Iowa
Q: Why did you choose Kirkwood?
A: I chose Kirkwood because I prefer smaller class sizes so I can have more one-on-one time with the professors if I have questions about the material. I also chose Kirkwood because I have 8 total years of college and I wanted to save a little money.
Q: What is your major and how did you choose it?
A: My major is Liberal Arts – AA. I chose this because the classes that I take transfer over to the University of Iowa well.
Q: What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?
A: My proudest moment here at Kirkwood would be making it on the Dean’s list every term.
Q: What are your plans after Kirkwood?
A: My plans after Kirkwood include transferring to the University of Iowa, getting my degree in Biology, and then hoping to get accepted into the Iowa School of Dentistry.
Q: What inspires or motivates you?
A: One thing that really motivates me is that I am someone who loves helping others and, in the future, I will be helping so many people love their teeth and smile again. To me there is nothing better than being confident wearing your own smile!
Q: Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc.
A: Outside of Kirkwood I am someone who loves to be outdoors. I enjoy hunting with my dad, taking care of my farm animals, and just spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy volunteering in my hometown when I can.
Q: What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you?
A: What this means to me is that all my hard work and dedication doesn’t go unnoticed.
