Where are you from? Earlville, Iowa.
Why did you choose Kirkwood? I chose to attend Kirkwood because I believed it would be a good place to start before going to Iowa State University. Kirkwood is a cheaper option that successfully prepares its students without sacrificing the quality of education.
What is your major and how did you choose it? My major is in Liberal Sciences here at Kirkwood and I chose it because it allows me to complete all my math and science requirements for Iowa State University.
What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood? My proudest moment at Kirkwood is doing well in my College Physics classes because physics is definitely not my strong suit.
What are your plans after Kirkwood? My plans after Kirkwood are to attend Iowa State University where I will be majoring in Biology. After that, my goal is to get into vet school.
What inspires or motivates you? Just the thought of completing all my goals and accomplishing everything that I want to motivate me. My family and friends also help motivate and support me by being extremely proud of me.
Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood. When I’m not studying, I enjoy being outside and taking walks as well as going to the gym. In my free time, I also like to watch anime.
What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you? Being named in an Outstanding Student is an amazing accomplishment and I’m very grateful to have received it. It helps solidify the fact that all the hard work I put in is worth it.
