Where are you from? I am from Anamosa, Iowa.
Why did you choose Kirkwood? I chose Kirkwood because it is where my family has gone to school and it has always been a top choice of ours.
What is your major and how did you choose it? My major is Graphic Communications Technology. I chose it because I love to create art and I wanted to be able to take my talents and make it my career.
What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood? My proudest moment, aside from being recognized here, probably would be when my design for a Veterans truck wrap was chosen for West Side Transport, as part of a class project.
What are your plans after Kirkwood? My plan is to go full time at the job I am currently at, working as a graphic designer
What inspires or motivates you? Seeing my hard work pay off in many different forms always motivates me. I am lucky to have met some amazing people here too. My friend Sara who is in the program with me is a big inspiration to me as well.
Tell us who you are outside of Kirkwood. Outside of Kirkwood, I love to work in physical arts, drawing, painting, various crafts, etc. I also love video games, with the Legend of Zelda being my personal favorite
What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you? It means so much to me. It truly is an honor to be recognized for all my work, and it makes it so worth it to continue creating.
