Where are you from?
I am originally from Sudan, Gezira state, Hassahissa. Now, I live in Cedar Rapids.
Why did you choose Kirkwood?
Because you can get affordable classes with good quality.
What is your major and how did you choose it?
My major is electrical engineering. I chose it because I like to do projects and solve problems.
What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?
When I started taking my major classes. In fact, I started taking English classes (ESL) first before starting my major.
What are your plans after Kirkwood?
I would like to transfer to Iowa State University
What inspires or motivates you?
My parents.
Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc.?
I play football and go to the gym.
What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you?
Being an outstanding student is something that I have to be proud of because I have worked hard for it, and I got it.
