Q: Where are you from? (city, state)

A: Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Q: Why did you choose Kirkwood?

A: I chose Kirkwood because of the excellent programs they have to offer at such an affordable price. Many of my friends and family also went to Kirkwood and enjoyed their experiences as well! This decision was very easy. I knew Kirkwood was the right place for me.

Q: What is your major and how did you choose it?

A: My major is Hospitality Management. I chose this program because I love the hospitality industry and the versatility that comes with it. I enjoy meeting new people and creating memorable experiences.

Q: What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?

A: Receiving this award would easily be my proudest moment. I am overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation that others have noticed my hard work and dedication! Besides receiving this award, my proudest moment was having Madi Gast and I’s in-room delivery packages implemented at the hotel. We put a lot of time and effort into creating the “Room with a Brew” and the “Unwined Staycation” packages.

Q: What are your plans after Kirkwood?

A: My plan after Kirkwood includes continuing my journey into restaurant management and hopefully begin safely traveling, gaining as much industry knowledge as possible.

Q: What inspires or motivates you?

A: My friends, co-workers, and family motivate me to stay focused on my future! I also motivate myself to create a career and life I have always desired. The hospitality industry creates memories and experiences for people, including myself, that are everlasting. This is what truly inspires me to continue this career path because I want to ensure everyone gets to enjoy all the pleasures life has to offer.
