The Sundberg Library and Learning Commons is now offering picnic blankets for check out. These 2 sided blankets are soft on one side and water resistant on the other so you can sit on the grass in comfort. They are blue and embroidered Kirkwood, Library and Learning Commons in white.
You don’t have to just use them for picnics though. Students have asked for more outdoor seating and this is a way to help with that. If you want to study outside, sit with a friend, work with a group, just veg out in the sun, or as the weather gets cooler wrap up where you find a seat outside these blankets are the answer!
You can check them out at the desk in the Sundberg Library whenever the library is open and they will be available to check out in Iowa Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on suitable weather days. Look for them near the café at one of the tables. No matter where you get them from return them to the library. Relax, study, and enjoy outside by checking out a blanket. We hope to see you soon!
