I am from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Why did you choose Kirkwood?
I chose Kirkwood because I wanted to finish my general courses before moving on to core classes.
What is your major and how did you choose it?
My major is Liberal Arts (A.S.). I chose this major upon recommendation from an advisor during my campus visit.
What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?
My proudest moment at Kirkwood was when I got an A in Calculus II despite getting a C- in Calculus I.
What are your plans after Kirkwood?
I plan to go to ISU to earn a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering.
What inspires or motivates you?
Honestly, it’s the fact that what I do now will impact the rest of my life, so I don’t want to squander my opportunity.
Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc.
I have an older sister who is finishing up at UNI. I work at the Edgewood Rd Hy-Vee.
What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you?
It means a lot to me to be nominated for such an honor.
