A: Lebanon, Missouri
Q: Why did you choose Kirkwood?
A: I chose Kirkwood because it has an amazing agriculture program and a beautiful campus! When I came for my visit and orientation, I felt so welcomed by the staff and I knew that Kirkwood was the perfect fit for me.
Q: What is your major and how did you choose it?
A: I am an Associate of Science/Agricultural transfer student. I chose this path because I plan to earn my Ph.D. in animal science and genetics, so this program was the perfect start to my educational career.
Q: What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?
A: My proudest moment at Kirkwood was earning my degree in December with a 4.0 GPA all while being involved on campus!
Q: What are your plans after Kirkwood?
A: After Kirkwood, I will be transferring to the University of Missouri to major in animal science and genetics and minor in captive wild animal management. After that, I hopefully plan to further my education there and earn my Ph.D..
Q: What inspires or motivates you?
A: Knowledge is what motivates me in school. I love learning about the things that I am interested in.
Q: Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc.
A: I have a small hobby farm at home with llamas, goats, ducks, chickens, guinea pigs, and many more! With this, I really enjoy being outside and caring for my animals. In my free time, I enjoy doing outdoor activities, playing sports, reading, and being with my friends and family!
Q: What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you?
A: It is a great honor to be named an Outstanding Student! It is always amazing to hear that your hard work has paid off and that you’ve been recognized!
