Bryce Thompson

Q: Where are you from? 

A: Lone Tree, Iowa 

Q: Why did you choose Kirkwood? 

A: I chose Kirkwood due to it being offered at my high school and I wanted to take as many classes as possible before I graduated high school. 

Q: What is your major and how did you choose it? 

A: I plan on majoring in Agriculture Business. Throughout my whole life, showing cattle has been a big part of my life has had a huge impact on my life. I am also very involved in FFA and 4-H. In 4-H I serve as my club’s Vice President. 

Q: What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood? 

A: As a Kirkwood student, I would have to say this receiving this award is my proudest moment. Receiving this award has made me realize how much work I put into my classes and it has not gone unnoticed. 

Q: What are your plans after Kirkwood? 

A: My plan after Kirkwood is to attend Iowa State. 

Q: Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc. 

A: Outside of Kirkwood, I am involved in sports such as wrestling and baseball. At school I am a part of NHS and FFA at school. I am also involved in at my local 4-H club where I serve as Vice President. 

Q: What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you? 

A: Being named Outstanding Student shows that all the work I do isn’t going unnoticed. I have always valued education and with every class I take, I try to utilize it in life every day.

A: Thank you for selecting me and I am very grateful for receiving this award.
