Where are you from? Sherrill, Iowa.
Why did you choose Kirkwood? I chose Kirkwood because of the amazing program opportunities, the close community, and the success and after graduation employment rates.
What is your major and how did you choose it? I am currently in the Surgical Technology program because I have always been interested in the medical field and the surgery department intrigued me the most.
What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood? My proudest moment at Kirkwood includes focusing on my studies along with being recognized through the dean’s list and outstanding student.
What are your plans after Kirkwood? My plan after Kirkwood is to obtain a surgical technology position and later being able to become a travel surgical technologist.
What inspires or motivates you? Knowing that I will be able to help people in my community every day is what motivates and inspires me the most.
Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood. I love being around my friends and family, being active and cooking.
What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you? I truly appreciate being nominated for outstanding student and that my hard work is being acknowledged which encourages me to keep working hard to achieve my goals.
