A: I am from Defiance, IA.
Q: Why did you choose Kirkwood?
A: I choose to come to Kirkwood because it felt like a place that was big enough to get the full college experience while still being able to have smaller classes.
Q: What is your major and how did you choose it?
A: My major is Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). I choose this due to my passion for exercise and the fact that I love to help people.
Q: What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?
A: My proudest moment at Kirkwood has been watching my hard work pay off through recognition, as well as accomplishing personal goals.
Q: What are your plans after Kirkwood?
A: I plan to move to the Des Moines area following graduation and work as a licensed PTA.
Q: What inspires or motivates you?
A: The thing that inspires me the most is to simply be the best I can be and always try to work as hard as I can.
Q: Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc.
A: Outside of school I enjoy many things. My favorite hobby is lifting weights, I also like spending time with friends and family, playing frisbee golf, and being active outdoors.
Q: What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you?
A: Being named an Outstanding Student means a lot to me. It is really a nice way to step back and be proud of what I have accomplished here at Kirkwood, and it motivates me to continue to improve in the future.
