Q: Where are you from? (city, state)
A: My name is Kholoud Masoud, I’m originally from Jordan but currently live in Iowa City, Iowa.
Q: Why did you choose Kirkwood?
A: I already have bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems and master’s degree in Quality Management from University of Jordan because I like business, I chose Kirkwood to gain more degrees and certificates like HR and Global Perspective. In addition, I want to be more fluent in the English language that will advance my personality to pursue my future dream to continue PhD in the future.
Q: What is your major and how did you choose it?
A: My major is Business Management. It is an extension to my previous degrees and can open different path in future.
Q: What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?
A: My proudest moment at Kirkwood when I was selected to be a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society and named to the Kirkwood Dean’s List in recognition of my academic performance.
Q: What are your plans after Kirkwood?
A: Continue my PhD program in Business Management at University of Iowa.
Q: What inspires or motivates you?
A: My passionate to teach and learn and gain more than more knowledge to achieve higher degrees and improved my skills and experience.
Q: Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc.
A: I live with my husband and waiting our first baby boy “AMIR” to come in August. In my free time I go to the gym, hang out with my husband and do shopping and bicycling.
Q: What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you?
A: Being an outstanding student will give me more motivation and energy for the future and strengthen my dream to achieve highest degree that will enable me to serve this community and make my family proud of my accomplishments.
