Where are you from? Deep River, Iowa.
Why did you choose Kirkwood? I chose Kirkwood as it is a very nice facility, and the campus location was ideal. They also offer all of the programs that I wanted to participate in as well.
What is your major and how did you choose it? I am majoring in Diesel Ag Technology and Ag Sciences. I chose these as I have always liked working on machinery and getting my hands dirty. Both of these programs also have promising career opportunities with knowledge that I can bring back to my own Family’s Farm.
What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood? My proudest moment at Kirkwood would probably be completing projects in the shop.
What are your plans after Kirkwood? My plans after Kirkwood are still up in the air but do include going back to the family farm.
What inspires or motivates you? My Dad and Grandfather inspire me as they are the hardest-working and most successful people I know.
Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood. I do a lot of farming. I work for a farmer outside of Swisher during the week and go home on the weekends and farm some more. Outside of that, I hang out with friends playing a lot of card games and having a good time.
What does being named an Outstanding Student mean to you? Outstanding Student to me means that you stand out more than the rest, in a good way.
