A: I am from Mystic, Iowa
Q: Why did you choose Kirkwood?
A: To learn more about the dental field and gain first-hand experience in dental work.
Q: What is your major and how did you choose it?
A: I am in the Dental Laboratory program. I choose to become a dental technician to learn more about making dental prosthetics.
Q: What are your plans after Kirkwood?
A: I will be employed at my current internship location after I graduate.
Q: What inspires or motivates you?
A: My dream of becoming a dentist helps push me to learn everything I can as a technician before applying for dental school.
Q: Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc.
A: Outside of classes, I am usually hanging out with friends or playing with my two cats.
Q: What does be named an Outstanding Student mean to you?
A: To be recognized as an Outstanding Student is an amazing feeling to know that my professors have seen my hard work through my two years at Kirkwood and that they see me as a great student to be nominated for this award.
