A: Cedar Falls, Iowa
Q: Why did you choose Kirkwood?
A: I chose Kirkwood because of the great atmosphere, all the staff and professors made me feel so welcome.
Q: What is your major and how did you choose it?
A: Graphic Communications Technology, I chose this major because I love creating things and helping companies and people bring their artistic wants and needs to life.
Q: What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood?
A: My proudest moment at Kirkwood has to be being nominated as an outstanding student.
Q: What are your plans after Kirkwood?
A: My plans after Kirkwood include moving back to Cedar Falls and finding a job as a Graphic Designer.
Q: What inspires or motivates you?
A: I am inspired by people who are enthusiastic about their job and they love what they do and sharing it with other people. This was the most important aspect for me when it came to picking a career path, I love being a graphic designer and I am excited to see what I will be able to accomplish in the future.
Q: Tell us about who you are outside of Kirkwood – hobbies, family, other interests, etc.
A: My family and I our very close nit, I have one sister who is older than me, she is an interior designer. My mother who is my biggest inspiration works at UNI and is a Relator. Together we love to flip houses and do renovations. I have two loving dogs, Lyric and Symphony. In my free time other than doing renovations, I love being outdoors, kayaking, biking, anything outside.
Q: What does be named an Outstanding Student mean to you?
A: Being named an Outstanding Student means to me that my hard work and my love of what I am doing shows through my work as a student. I so thankful that I was chosen to be an Outstanding Student.
