Where are you from? I am from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

Why did you choose Kirkwood? I chose Kirkwood because it is diversified, and offers be best nursing program.

What is your major and how did you choose it? My major is Nursing. After working at the justice department for five years and as a frontline worker during covid time I felt the need for a career change to a position I can work directly with people interacting, helping, and in a caring manner.

What has been your proudest moment at Kirkwood? I am proud of being on the Dean’s list from the first semester till to date.

What are your plans after Kirkwood? After Kirkwood I am transferring to a four-year university to obtain a BSN.

What inspires or motivates you? I am motivated and inspired by archiving goals I set for myself each day.

Tell us about who you are outside Kirkwood. Outside Kirkwood I am a loving caring person but misunderstood by many who have not interacted with me. I love shopping, perfumes and looking good.

What does being named an Outstanding student mean to you? Being named an outstanding student is something I am used to from a young age in my primary level of education, it makes me proud of myself how far I have maintained my leadership.

Is there anything else you’d like to add? Just a quote – the sooner you get up and dust yourself off after falling, the better chances you have to reach the finish line.
